Puppies: The grooming process involves a lot of new sights, sounds and sensations for a puppy. It’s important to introduce these things to a puppy slowly to ensure a low-stress experience to set them up for a lifetime of good grooming experiences. Every puppy is different and will tolerate a different amount of handling. They may need a few appointments with Good Dog before they are ready for a full groom. We will work with you to tailor a plan for your puppy.
Senior Dogs: In their old age dogs can struggle with a variety of health issues such as arthritis, pain in the eyes and mouth, doggy dementia, and coat change. This will mean grooming becomes more about comfort than style. Elderly dogs are at increased risk of stress seizures triggered by the loud sound of the drier which may mean we need to style your dog without bathing and drying first. We will discuss the options for your dog in advance of their appointment
-
Good Dog may take before/after photographs of your dog for use on social media and other marketing and promotional material. Every effort will be used to remove identifying aspects of your home in the background of photographs, only Good Dog staff will be included in photographs.
